In the elder days of the Empire, former Emperor Aviatrus granted Thousinned a seat on the Council of the Tide due to his religious devotion towards Avaria. Unbeknownst to Thousinned; Aviatrus slipped an un-tested power limiter into his chambers to keep his formidable strength in check, and ensure Aviatrus' authority as a leader wouldn't be undermined. Shortly after, the limiter malfunctioned, causing Thousinned to be placed into a coma. Centuries had passed until former Emperor Exorunner found Thousinned's location. He destroyed the limiter, brought Thousinned back into Avaria's ranks, and told him what had happened while he was away. Hearing the truth, Thousinned was enraged and fought to claim the throne for himself, to bring the Empire back to the top.
